2011 Presidents Day Rally Monday, February 21 at the Capital Steps in Salem

admin - Posted on 16 February 2011

With budget cuts looming, families and students will rally for adequate education funding Monday, Feb. 21, at the state capitol in Salem. Participants will gather at noon on the capitol steps to support Oregon legislators in protecting schools.

Gov. John Kitzhaber has announced he would propose a $5.56 billion budget for schools statewide—far less that the total spending in 2009-11, and an amount that could leave Oregon City School District with a projected budget shortfall over $9.5 million next year.
