Superintendent Announces New Vice Principal at Ogden Middle School
Oregon City Superintendent Larry Didway recently announced that Stephanie Murdock has been selected as the new Vice Principal at Ogden Middle School. Murdock will join the district in August, replacing Brad Shreve who will become the principal at Lebanon High School.
"Stephanie was chosen from a large competitive field of candidates through a rigorous selection process. We were all impressed with the depth of her knowledge about quality instruction and her commitment to the success of all students."
Murdock, currently a substitute administrator and teacher at Parkrose Middle School, moved to Oregon from Wisconsin and holds a bachelors degree from Portland State and a masters degree from Pacific University. She completed the initial Administrative licensure Program at PSU last year.
"I can't wait to join the team at Ogden Middle School," she said. "I look forward to being part of the community there and continuing to build upon and support their many successes."
In addition to her experience as a Humanities, Social Studies and Language Arts teacher, Stephanie has served in a variety of leadership roles, including most recently as a substitute administrator for a vice principal out on maternity leave.
Murdock lives in Northeast Portland with her husband and three-year-old twins; a daughter and a son. She enjoys reading and traveling. They plan to spend their summer vacation traveling before she starts at Ogden.
